  10.        This release note describes patch SG0000203 to IRIS Explorer
  11.        version 2.2.2 for IRIX 5.3.

  15.        This patch contains bug fixes for all platforms.

  19.        This patch contains bug fixes for IRIS Explorer version
  20.        2.2.2 for IRIX 5.3. The software cannot be installed on
  21.        other configurations. In particular, it should not be
  22.        installed on IRIX 6.0.1.

  26.        This patch contains fixes for the following bugs in IRIX
  27.        5.3.  Bug numbers from Silicon Graphics bug tracking system
  28.        are included for reference.

  30.           +o Bug #250826 - Module Builder and Data Scribe use wrong
  31.             fonts. The Module Builder and Data Scribe of Explorer
  32.             version 2.2.2 use the wrong fonts. This happens because
  33.             the XUSERFILESEARCHPATH environment variable changed in
  34.             IRIX 5.3. This patch allows both applications to use
  35.             the correct fonts.

  48.        Because you want to install patches for only the problems
  49.        you have encountered, patch software is not installed by
  50.        default. After reading the descriptions of the bugs fixed in
  51.        this patch, determine the patches that meet your specific
  52.        needs.

  54.        Patch software is installed like any other Silicon Graphics
  55.        software product.  It must be installed from the miniroot.
  56.        Follow the instructions in your _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n
  57.        _G_u_i_d_e to bring up the miniroot form of the software
  58.        installation tools.

  74.        Follow these steps to select a patch for installation:

  76.          1.  At the Inst>prompt, type

  82.          2.  Select the desired patches for installation.

  84.          3.  Initiate the installation sequence. Type

  88.          4.  You may find that two patches have been marked as
  89.              incompatible.  If this occurs, you must deselect one
  90.              of the patches.

  96.          5.  After completing the installation process, exit the

  102.        To remove a patch, use the _v_e_r_s_i_o_n_s _r_e_m_o_v_e command as you
  103.        would for any other software subsystem.  The removal process
  104.        reinstates the original version of software unless you have
  105.        specifically removed the patch history from your system.
